Bio

Jordan Burk is a Georgia-bred folk musician; born to a tool maker and a small town hairdresser, money was something the Burks never had a ton of but they shared love, tall tales, and a passion for music. In Jordan’s youth, the crackles and pops of Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, and Bob Dylan albums would fill the air and every night gathered around the dinner table, Jordan’s father would tell stories of his youth growing up in a small farm town. Through her parents' and grandparents' tales, Jordan fell in love with the idea of life before computers, cell phones, and social media. She loved the idea of handwritten letters, hardback books, and pure imagination left untainted by television. Along with her love for simplicity, Jordan grew fond of stories long passed; tales of the dustbowl era intrigued her and as she grew, so did her understanding that though simplicity was a beautiful thing, it often led to the worst tragedies.

After leaving her hometown of Buford, Georgia to pursue a degree in Chicago, Jordan has spent the last three years perfecting and growing her craft. Her songs range from bitter revenge to unexpected triumphs all the way over to loss, love, and the basis of human nature.

Over the past few months, Jordan has been diligently working on putting together her debut EP "The Narrow Path"; she was given the opportunity to work with several talented Nashville musicians and Ryan Gorgol, a talented engineer, producer, and friend. Creating the album was one of the most memorable experiences of Jordan's life thus far and it has surpassed any dream that she could've ever dreamt.
