Jordsy

He's a Manitoba boy, yet the expectation of prairie twang is repressed by the thriving urban pavement. His picking
style is unschooled and his strumming is untameable. The harmonica's he adorn play as an extension of his voice;
desperate, coarse, and melodic.

Within contemporary folk, you find Jordsy. With inspiration to the past and a voice to the present, the folk music created is a step away from traditional roots towards the alternative times. It's sincere, it conscious, it's attitude.

His debut LP, which has yet to be titled, is in the process of completion. This deversified compliation of material is the starting point to Jordsy's vision of modern acoustic folk. However, this album does have a catch; no electric instruments, no amps, and no electronics. Just raw, honest music.

Currently Jordsy has released "The Make Believe EP", containing alternative takes, versions and mixes of 4 songs from the LP. All songs were recorded at White Cupboard Studio in Winnipeg, MB with the aid of verteran musician and acoustic scene-ster Derrick McCandless.
