Bio
Jose Bernardo is a multi-instrumentalist composer and arranger. He began his formal music education in 1988 at the Pop/Jazz Conservatory in Helsinki, Finland. He earned his Bachelor of Music in Songwriting from Berklee College of Music in 2002 and a Master Certificate in Guitar Performance from Berklee’s online extension school in 2014.
Jose is currently based in Hong Kong where he teaches guitar, ukulele, bass, and music theory at Riff Centre and German Swiss International School. He writes lesson columns for GuitarBench and Ukulele Rhythms magazines.
Jose is currently working debut albums from his two ensembles: “Sonic Bloom Theory” and “Acoustic Bloom Theory”. He is also hard at work on a follow up to his solo debut album “Outside Looking In” (2006).
