Jose Carbajal – “El Indomable” – CD RELEASE

Jose Carbajal, “El Indomable”, was born in Eastern Guatemala. From the beginning, Jose was drawn toward Ranchero music, the traditional rural music of Mexico and the region.

Jose started his musical career participating in many artistic and musical events, further developing his passion for the music of Latin America and specifically, Mariachi music. Over the years, he spent as much time as possible studying the great Mariachi singers of the past, learning the intricacies of this musical genre, while staying true to his own musical style.

In 2001, Jose Carbajal moved to New York, beginning a new stage of his musical career. He launched his first CD, Jose Carbajal “El Indomable”, realizing his dream of recording his music for the public. Since then, his career has taken off, and in 2006, his pre nomination was entered in two categories of the Latin Grammy Awards. He has performed at many local and regional music events including the Central American Festival in Brentwood, NY, the Caribbean Festival in Spring Valley, NY and the East Main Street Festival in Bridgeport, CT—earning the admiration of the public. In addition, Jose was the main act at the Feria Chapina Gala, performing before the Guatemalan Consul in NY, as well as the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Minister of Interior Affairs. On numerous occasions, he has also been invited to perform at private events held by the Hispanic Business and Professional Association of Westchester County.

In January 2010, Jose is re-launching his much-anticipated CD, titled Jose Carbajal. Delivering the sentiment of the rural countryside with artistry and passion, Jose’s music has made him a favorite among people from many different cultures around the world.
