Joseph Wu spent the last six years touring around the Philippines and other Asian countries with his previous two bands. Prior to starting his solo project, his band was signed to a major record label in Manila, Philippines, and have shared the stage with many big name acts. After splitting with the label in 2013, Wu made the move to Hong Kong to further pursue his solo career. Wu aims to write honest music, and does so by writing with a story-teller approach.
Earlier in 2014, Joseph released his debut EP titled "1987" which helped establish his name in the Hong Kong local scene. On top of playing shows and touring around Hong Kong, Macau, and China, the EP also played a role in gaining Joseph a stable following. Wu recently took some time off from playing shows to complete his debut full length album "New Beginnings". The 10 track album features re-released songs from his EP as well.
2014 has been a great year so far for Joseph. Having just wrapped up a Japan tour, Joseph is also prepping for a China, Australia, and a US tour to promote the debut full length album.
