Jose has released three solo albums to date – “Lost in the Game” (1999), “In the Face of Judas” (2001), and a self-titled album on the independent label Black N Brown Entertainment. Additionally, Santana released an album called “80 Proof” (2003) together with long time friend and fellow artist Money Stacks as the group “The HardHeadz”, as well as a compilation with Errelevent titled “Heaven Made Hell” (2005).

With a distinct and passionate voice, Jose Santana has an electric presence with a compelling story to tell. Born and raised in Daly City, California, he decends from one of the most legendary and musical families to traverse Mexican and American culture. Jose shares his name with his grandfather, whose influence led to music being at the heart of the very fabric of the Santana family life. The close knit and prolific extended family includes is celebrated uncles – Jorge Santana formerly of Malo and none other than Carlos Santana, the rock legend. This family is one that is solidified by the pillars of family ties and musical heritage.

Santana’s style knows no boundaries. His subject matter is vividly evocative of life in all of its aspects from tragedy in the streets to rowdy nights drinking and dancing. Fluent and recording in English and Spanish under the moniker 10sion, his unmistakable presence and flow operate like the necessary pieces to the puzzle in his recordings.

Thus far Jose’s collaborations have been impressive. He has worked with heavyweights in the music industry such as Tupac’s Outlawz, C-Bo, and his uncle Jorge. Jose has received radio play on Bay Area radio stations 106KMEL and Wild 94.9. Besides his impressive resume of collaborations and releases, Jose has performed with the Yung Gunz, Digital Underground and Yukmouth of the Luniz.

The total package that is Jose “10sion” Santana is hot in the streets. He continues to prove himself to be a relevant contender as the world shifts to recognize and accept Hip-Hop as a culture and way of life. Jose is sure to claim the mantle of his family’s tradition of success and emerge as one of the Bay Area’s premier superstars.
