Bio

Josh Lamothe is a singer, songwriter & recording artist from Hamilton, ON and was born in Los Angeles California.

Since Josh was a child, he has been singing, and writing his own songs. Josh has played live on Canadian radio, television, played at at Canadian Music Festivals (Festival of Friends, Cactus Fest, Locke Street Festival etc.) & local clubs. Some notable ones include The Opera House, The Rivioli & Dundas Square in Toronto.

Josh's music video for his cover of "All I Want for Christmas is You” caught the attention of "Walter Affannsaiff" who co-wrote the song with Mariah Carey. Walter gave Josh his thumbs up on his version of his & Mariah's Christmas Contemporary/Classic Hit Song. Another noteworthy recording of his is a rock version of "With You", originally recorded by Chris Brown. The track has guitar player Donna Grantis on lead guitar who is actually Prince’s/3rd Eye Girl’s current lead guitarist.

Actually, Josh comes from quite a musical family. His Father has had quite a colourful musical career. His dad was in a band called “The Riverdogs”. They were signed to Epic Records in the 90’s. They had Vivian Campbell on Lead Guitar (Dio, Whitesnake, Def Leppard).

Currently, Josh is writing for and recording his debut E.P. of original music. It is being Produced by Black/Whyte Music Group (Frankie Whyte & Andre Kaden Black), Engineered/Mixed by Tal Vaisman at Iguana Studios & Mastered by Tom Baker, who Mastered the Nine Inch Nails album “The Downward Spiral” and Sebastian Bach’s (Skid Row) solo album “Give ‘em Hell".
