Bob Dylan's music was a big influence on me. I put emotion into my melodies; and I try to describe the sound I get with lyrics on top. That's the best way I have found to write songs.

I have been playing guitar, singing, and writing for a few years.

My Time

Written By: Josh Barzell

Sometimes I wonder why I am so strange
Sometimes I get in trouble for saying my own name
When the wind blows hard from left to right it feels the same
I don't know where I'm going, but for me that's OK
'cause by now, my time has slipped away

It was the end of November when you told me you had to go
I was hoping we'd have some time before the snow
You were looking at me the way you're doing now
I wish I could've said what I'm saying now
But that's OK, your time has slipped away.

Ain't it just like the night, to be quiet about what you've done before?
Ain't it just like the night, to be quiet about where you've been before?
She was standing by a tree
So afraid to be free
But that's OK, her time has slipped away.

If I had a choice, I'd swear day by day
If I had a choice, I would've never gone away
I don't have a choice so tonight I'll stay
I loved her, you know, but that's OK
'cause by now, our love has slipped away.
