Biography

After graduating from Booker T. Washington High School of the Performing and Visual Arts, Josh is headed to the University of Southern California’s popular music program as a singer/songwriter. The resulting song, “Fly” will soon be available nationally. Lyrics

"Iron Grip"

Written By: Josh Goldberg

Feelin’ intimidated, cause your ego’s takin up so much room,
Feelin’ intoxicated cause your jealousy’s givin’ off some noxious fumes,
Feelin’ infuriated cause you’ve wasted so much of my time,
Feelin’ intoxicated, cause all you do is wine, wine, wine

I’m sick of lyin’, sick of duplicity,
Sick of not bein’ who you think I should be,
So release me from your Iron Grip

Boa constrictor, had enough of your constrictin’ me,
Electric eel, had enough of your electricity,
Komoto Dragon, had enough of your fire in my face,
You big ol’ hippopotamus, just go away and gimme my space

Your good looks will only get you so far,
Soon the whole world will see you for who you really are
So release me from your Iron Grip

I said release me from your Iron Grip

"I Believe in You"

Written By: Josh Goldberg

I remember walking toward the fading yellow sunset,
Holding mamma’s belly with my hand,
It seemed there wouldn’t be much time before you arrived, just as planned
And I asked, “Mamma, what can I say, Mamma, what can I do? What words of wisdom can I give
To the baby girl inside of you?"
And she said,

Never take your eyes off the horizon
Nurture every dream till it comes true
Know that I’ll be with you every step of the way,
Because I believe in you

It one a.m. and you are growing weary,
Textbooks piled higher than your head,
But you’ve got many miles to go, before you can go to bed,
And you cry, “Brother what can you say, brother what can you do?
What words of wisdom can you give, to help me make it though?”
And I said,

Never take your eyes off the horizon
Nurture every dream till it comes true
Know that I’ll be with you every step of the way,
Because I believe in you

Little sister now you’re not so little,
You’ve outgrown all your little baby shoes
You’re big and strong and you can go, any direction you choose
But if you get lost on your way, and don’t know what to do
Just remember this little song that I wrote for you
And it goes like this,

Never take your eyes off the horizon
Nurture every dream till it comes true
Know that I’ll be with you every step of the way,
Because I believe, I believe,
Because I believe in you
