Debut release "So The World May Hear"

The Josh Helms Project came together through the worship ministry of Van Dyke Church in Tampa FL. Where they lead over 2,500 people in heart-felt worship every week. It all started with a song that the church body embraced in worship. Since that first song the Josh Helms Project has written more and more passionate worship songs that have not only ministered to the body of their local church, but spread throughout churches on a national scale. Churches all over the country worship to these songs week after week and that number is growing. Songs like “Jesus In Me” (co-written with Brentwood-Benson’s Carl Cartee and featured on have been embraced by worship leaders looking for fresh worship music that ministers to the heart of the Father. “Jesus In Me” and “I Belong to You” have ranked consistently in the top 5 rated songs on CCLITV. JHP also has a very strong Youtube following with videos like “Faithful God” and “Glorious.” Here are a few emails from worship leaders describing how these songs have touched their churches.

I asked you a while back for the chord chart and words for Jesus In Me, and you were kind enough to oblige this small church worship pastor. I really appreciate it, as that song has come to mean a great deal to me. We have implemented it in our worship services and it has become a new standard. Our people have loved it. We even made it the theme song for a revival we had the opportunity to lead. I can't tell you how many people asked me about it, and people were singing it in the halls throughout the week. We appreciate it so much, and look forward to hearing your recorded version of that song one day soon!

Hi Josh,
Just wanted to let you know that “Faithful God” is our theme song for the month of July. We choose one song to sing at various points of our services over a month that speaks to the overall theme of the sermons.
Thanks so much for your generosity in sending us the chord sheet.
God bless you in your endeavors,

Their debut release titled “So The World May Hear” is due out summer of 2009.

“One of my business associates once told me that songs don't change the world but people do. I am thankful to have met Josh Helms who is not only an extraordinary worship leader and songwriter but is even a greater man who is making an impact and helping change our world.”

“Every time I experience well-led worship I thank God for those leading. During the "Real Ideas Conference" Josh Helms was one of the worship leaders who pointed us to Jesus. I'm a better man because Josh led us well.
Thanks Josh!”

“Lead singer and songwriter Josh Helms, voice clear and unpretentious, denim frayed in all the right places, with a habit of kicking out his left leg when he reached the chorus and sings the name of Jesus.”
-St. Pete Times

“Josh Helms is a gifted worship leader with a deep passion for God and God's people. Josh's dynamic style and authenticity immediately connect with people and engages their hearts in worship. God uses Josh to usher people into an atmosphere of genuine praise and inspiration. While Josh's skills and abilities are undeniable, his worship leading always points directly to God and God's glory.”
