The debut EP from Urban Pop artist, Josh Hurt, will be released to the world on August 30, 2011. The Pop-anthemic project will include eleven tracks all written and arranged by Josh Hurt, himself. Five music videos will accompany the project, as well as a music short film consisting of three more songs. It features sounds ranging from Urban and Dance, to Pop and Acoustic. The dramatic influences of classic films such as Grease and Purple Rain can be heard on tracks such as “Midnight Racer”. The fascination with Michael Jackson's LP “Dangerous” comes to surface through “Infectious”, “I Know What Love Is”, and “One Heart Break”. Unexpected influences from Daft Punk can be heard on the videogame-inspired “Blockhead”. Each track of “The Exhibition” represents a different emotional display of either heartbreak, vitality, or euphoria.
After submerging himself into the studies of relationships and making his own musical discoveries, he was able to experiment on songs such as “Heat of the Night” and “Paradigm”, the latter being a Soft Rock tune that closes the door of “The Exhibition”.

Josh Hurt is a 23-year-old Urban Pop entertainer who has been singing and songwriting since the young age of 9. At 17, he started recording and performing his original music across the city of Dallas, Texas. After 4 years of artist development, Josh Hurt has self-written and executive produced his first project, titled "The Exhibition". This project consists of sounds ranging from Urban to Pop, to Soft Rock and Acoustic. Being influenced by great performers such as Michael Jackson and Beyonce, he is now at the level to take the music industry by storm!
