Bio

Josh Klein was born in Washington D.C. on May 17, 1983. He grew up in Rockville, Maryland where his interest and growing talent in music was displayed at the age of three, when he would bang on pots and pans with spoons.

His parents, recognizing his interests, got him drums at an early age, but Josh ended up breaking the heads of all of them within a short period of time. When he was 7, he got a guitar, but did not focus on it for some time, as he played clarinet in the school.

In his adolescent years, Josh was inspired by his uncle’s cover band, dubbed “The Wilson’s,” and was encouraged by his father to learn “Freebird” and other classic rock hits. Josh started rocking out in a big way.

After graduating from Colonel Zadok Magruder High School (the “Marching Colonel’s”) in 2001, Josh attended various universities including Montgomery College, DePaul, and Berklee College of Music. He will soon have a degree in professional music, and has worked with many different musicians in the Boston area within the last two years.

Josh plays the part of George Harrison in the Beatles tribute band, Abbey Road, and his songwriting abilities are put to work in the Indie/pop-rock band Vette, but his abilities really shine when he plays with his friends.

His act is dubbed “Josh Klein and Friends,” which he keeps fresh by playing with different musicians to keep the party moving for each show.
