Bio

From the port city of Halifax, Josh has played lead guitar for a wide variety of artists and has led Contemporary/Rock worship bands throughout the East Coast and across Canada for the past 10 years, playing hundreds of shows.

He has had two previous bands in that genre, but that wasn't enough to satisfy his hunger for his love of MUSIC. For Soul, Funk and Blues. Digging out his inner James Brown, he brings music back to the basics. Writing songs that have both a message and a groove that can't be ignored. Harkening back to classic Motown and 70's P-Funk, he brings IT by the truck load!

While retreating to the British Isles in the winter of 2011 with his wife, he experienced things that breathed new life into his spiritual and musical soul: walking the grounds of the ancient world of Stonehenge, having hand pumped bitter in Belfast at a Pub over 300 years old, to stand on the basalt rock formations of The Giant's Causeway in County Antrim, Northern Ireland and DESTROYED his Toms climbing castles and ruins in Ireland, including Dunluce Castle where Led Zepplin took their inner album photo for Houses of the Holy.

Inspiration came swiftly and he realized that it's not about what you say you're going to do, it's about doing, about making music that matters, touching people's lives in meaningful ways.....it's about what you leave behind.

Josh is currently working on his first single,"Give Me Love" which will hit the streets in June 2012. It will also be featured on his debut album, "Across 110th Street" coming in the summer of 2012. Recording the album in what he calls the, "Lenny Kravitz" style, playing each instrument himself, save keys and horns.

This is truly a labor of love, hard work and passion. Josh, ever the perfectionist, is working with some amazing people, who continually remind him, "It's done Josh. It's killer. If you had your way you'd tweak it forever." They speak the truth. He is also working hard shooting a concept video for the song, "Give Me Love". Which will have some 'surprises', so keep your eyes open!

Among his talented star power rhythm section he has on board to help bring the funk live to the masses is Matt Stride on drum duty, who has worked with Dove and Juno award winning band Starfield, Juno nominated band Life Support, ECMA nominated band The Keats and EMCA award winner Chelsea Amber. Bringing the Low End Theory is Jeff Alexander who has worked with GMA award winner Robin Mark, funk band House of Power and band leader for Jeanette Petkau both in Vancouver.

Josh will be in the studio finishing the album for the summer release and playing shows this summer, so stay tuned for live dates. But in the meantime look for the single and video, "Give Me Love" coming soon!
