Josh & Jay isn’t easily categorized. It’s hip-hop and soulful pop. It’s classical voice and rapping pianists. Josh & Jay is lyrical mayhem with intriguing and thought provoking messages. Indeed, the artists pride themselves on having never uttered “an empty lyric.” By unabashedly fusing Christian values with relevant contemporary issues, this duo is destined to have a lasting national voice among its peers.

Joshua Davis is a Lynchburg native who jumped into the spotlight at a young age after performing on “Showtime at the Apollo.”
Joshua has been singing all of his life, and in 2010 he graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s degree in….. you guessed it, music.
In January of 2013 Joshua and his wife opened the Jay and J Music Institute, a community focused school of music teaching piano and vocal basics.
In his free time Joshua enjoys watching Netflix on the couch with his wife Kisha and his favorite food is pork n beans! Mmm mmm good!

You could call Mista J a rapper who plays the piano or a pianist who raps; but most people just call him TALENTED. Performing since the age of 14, it wasn’t long before this burgeoning talent was put to a decision.
Fueled by an up close encounter with God and the support of other accomplished artists, Mista J decided to commit himself fully to making Christ honoring music. Mista J is lucky to be marrying his beautiful wife-to-be Sarah Torres and together they hope to plant an urban focused church in a metropolitan city in North America.
