BandRockAcoustic

Groove based pop rock with soul and R&B influences.

Biography

At the young age of six, Josh got his first guitar from his father. For the better part of his life he could remember staring at his dads fingers while he played in the living room.

With influences such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Lynyrd Skynyrd, the Police, and songwriters such as John Denver and James Taylor, Josh had the opportunity to really make something of his talent.

At age 12 he played his first show on the back porch of a family members house. " We sold tickets and had a backstage!!!! It was done up right. I think I caught the bug that night!"

Over the next few years while his peers were starting to drive and going to each others house to hang out Josh sat in his bedroom. Making music had taken over. He wanted to get better everyday and would do anything to do so.

In 2003 Josh released his first albulm, "Twenty Hours Till Midnight". Immediately he started playing shows all over the southeast.

Today Josh writes music everyday and is always hanging out in a recording studio trying to polish off guitar licks and lyrics.

Josh writes what ever he feels at any given moment saying, "Music should be an outlet for exactly what you are feeling. That's when you get a good song. When you truly feel what you are writng about. If that means you write a country song, a blues song, a christian song or anything else it's ok. Genres mean nothing if the music is pure and comes from the heart."
