Bio
As the owner and chief engineer of Delta Source
Studios, Josh Pollock has an engineered records for many New York City rock bands and hip-hop acts, as well as working with songwriters and on independent films. He has recently worked as the tracking and/ or mixing engineer for records by Papi, Slanty Eyed Mama, Redhooker, and many others; as well as doing post production sound for the film Gothkill. With a degree in audio engineering from Full Sail, Josh spends his days working to bring out the sounds in other peoples' heads. When his day (or night's) work is done he turns his studio into an instrument, to create a unique sound of his own.
Hatched in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Josh now resides in Astoria, NY (that's in Queens.) He is an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, reads a ton of science fiction, and plays too much xbox. Having played bass and guitar since he was 14, he has played in numerous Hard Rock, Punk, Industrial, and Experimental bands. He now concentrates on creating a variety of sounds himself, sometimes moody, sometimes ambient, sometimes loud, but always textured. He self identifies as big a fan of hip-hop, shoegazer, industrial, ambient rock, and is also a metal-head. Maybe this is why his music turns out the way it does...
