Josh Starkey

Josh Starkey has been mixing drum and bass music for nearly a decade. Since 2000, dnb has been a huge part of his life. Playing alongside some of the best djs the genre has to offer. Such as Benny Page, Evol Intent, Vicious Circle, DB, Meyhem, Impulse, Danny the Wildchild, Amaning, Sol.ID, Focus, Tetredin, Titan Zero, and Mixmaster Doc. Plus party favorites like Baby Anne, Dj Irene, Dj Micro, Dj Trashy, Jen Lasher, Dave London, DJ Three, DJ Keri, Faze, and Your Dirty Habbit to name a few. Starkey and some of his fellow Columbia, South Carolina junglists started the 'Vicious Cycle' crew in the early 2000s which later morphed into what is now known as 'Connectiondnb'. In the mid 2000s Josh played the electric bass with post-punk bands the Black
Domina, and Aposable Scum along with a number of other projects on both the drums and the bass. Recently he has joined up with the amazing talent of the well established 'Proper' in Charlotte North Carolina, where he is a resident at Tutto Mondo's Sunday night Proper Bass weekly. With influences and fav's such as Ed Rush, Optical, Spor, )E|3(, Subfocus, Cause 4 Concern, and Pendulum you can expect to hear the darker nero dancefloor jams, but don't think he doesn't have a softer side as liquid funk and downtempo are also close to his heart. Lately he has been enthralled with the world of dubstep and is always finding ways to fuze it into his sets
