When a new artist can define their own genre of music, you know they’re on to something. Entertainer Joshua Heart has done just that merging both Hip Hop and Rock and Roll to create his own lane called “Hip Rock”.
The first time I saw Joshua Heart perform live was a couple years ago in an underground club in Atlanta and was pleasantly surprised at his eclectic style and the emotion that he put into each and every song ; the fact that he had a live band booming BEhind him was just the icing on the cake…I was completely enamored by the passion he left on the stage; it just left me wanting to know & hear more. He was very reminiscent of a young Lenny Kravitz, and the audience loved it.
Joshua Heart is fully immersed in the entertainment industry and has traveled the world touring with the Atlanta Boy Choir; he has also sang background and worked with artists and producers such as Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, Israel Houghton, Ciara, Darwin Hobbs, Madd Scientist, Kwamé, Teddy Bishop, Darlene McCoy, Hit-Boy, India Shawn and Mariah Carey.
With a smooth, yet edgy voice many compare to the likes of Tina Turner and Steven Tyler, JoshuaHeart is the future Voice of this generation. Born and raised in Saginaw, Michigan, Joshua Heart started singing at a very young age. After displaying advanced musical abilities, at the age of ten he began singing with his grandmother in the adult choir at a local church. At the age of twelve, Joshua and his family moved to Atlanta, Georgia.
By the time he graduated high school, Joshua Heart had fully become amerced in the entertainment industry and had traveled the world touring with the Atlanta Boy Choir; he also began singing background and working with artist and producers such as Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, Israel Houghton, Ciara, Darwin Hobbs, Madd Scientist, Kwamé, Teddy Bishop, Darlene McCoy, Hit-Boy, India Shawn and Mariah Carey.
After his R&B artist deal with Warner Brothers ended, Joshua Heart took two years to redevelop his new sound and is ready for the world to hear what he’s been working on with the release of his Duel EP entitled “The Heart” and “The Soul”.The essence of his music provides a transparent connection with his listeners that is distinct and authentic while combining current and innovative elements.
