Biography

Emerging from the back yards of Tacoma, Wa., JoshuaAdamsBand busted down the doors of the Acoustic-Pop-Jazz-Rock scene in early 2008. Joshua Adams has been a soloist in the Pacific Northwest since 1999 but finally in 2008 formed the JoshuaAdamsBand. Adams takes a singer/songwriter style of acoustic pop and gives it a jam band feel. His influences range from Crosby, Stills and Nash to Nine Inch Nails, from Jim Croce to Panic At The Disco, with heavy influences from Dave Matthews Band and Ani Difranco. JoshuaAdamsBand’s easily digested vocals, energetic rhythms and tight jams generate a sound overflowing with beefy, sugar-coated ditties. With standout tracks like "Faster," “By Morning” and “Individual Dual,” the music appeals to Acoustic, Pop and Rock fans alike. The current lineup features Adams as songwriter, guitar player and lead singer, Todd Mcgrady on drums, Steve Gillson on bass, Mitch Sloan on saxophone, and Jon Preece on keyboards. JoshuaAdamsBand can be seen and heard all across the Pacific Northwest and on the web at JoshuaAdamsBand.com and contacted at JoshuaAdamsBand@hotmail.com or via www.MySpace.com/ACE1979 Look for the Joshua Adams Band to be a major part of the musical landscape in the Pacific Northwest for years to come.

Set List

My set list can very depending on the venues at which I'm playing. We play mostly originals with (if allowable) 1-2 covers mixed in. We normally play 2 sets of 1 1/2 hours or one long sets of 2 1/2 hours. We write all our own songs but we are known to play a few cover songs as well. But with the onslaught of the royalty companies prosecuting venues for playing un-approved music we prefer not to. But we can upon request or if allowable.
