Bio

Joshua’s ability to write deep spiritual songs with topics that address a lot of our social Issues has become a passion for him. He consistently accomplishes this because of his past. Growing up without a mom or dad was really hard for me but I choose to learn from it and use it to help someone else.” Joshua said. His songs are a healing for nations as one fan put it. We really enjoy your music it is very moving, to us you are the ultimate Christian singer/songwriter. Debbie and Albert Newfoundland

At the age of 13 he started his first band called NARROW EXPRESS. The band played mostly cover songs except for the one song he had written. They lasted about 3 years and then went their separate ways. Joshua felt it was for the best, so he then picked up guitar, piano and started working on his solo act, he played a few different gigs including playing live on C.B.C TV. Doors were opened in many ways for him and he felt happy that for the first time people were Starting to hear his message.

At the age of 19 just getting out from the orphanage Joshua moved to Ontario with a band he put together and started to play around the G.T.A in the hopes of being discovered. Things became hard for them being far from home and not having much money they sometimes found themselves playing on the streets of Toronto for there next meal. Feeling very much alone and that things were not working out they all headed back to Newfoundland.

Now in the summer of 1993 Joshua wanted to give it another try so the band reconnected, but this time they were going to put a different spin on things, instead of going club by club they would hit major labels but the problem with that you see is at the time you needed a lot of money to be able to go ahead with this, so it was short lived because some of the guys got frustrated with it and headed back to Newfoundland but Joshua stayed and kept on pushing to get somewhere.

Joshua has had shows at a variety of establishments In Newfoundland, Kigali Rwanda and though out Hamilton and the GTA, such as C.B.C TV (St. John’s NL) The Church of Jesus Christ (Kigali Rwanda) Club Rocket (Toronto), The Opera house(Toronto) Peoples Church (Hamilton) East Hamilton Pentecostal Church (Hamilton) and a many other community events.

The summer 2005 Joshua had the chance to play in Kigali Rwanda in Africa for the orphan children. Joshua explains it as a life changing experience.
And April 21/2007 Joshua opened the show for Grammy nominated Artist Sarah Kelly.
Joshua continues to craft songs with much of the material drawn from his personal experiences in regards to family, humanity and mortalityn, Cross recently launched a charity with his wife called Shelter Them, www.shelterthem.com, which was started after seeing the aftermath in person of the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.
