Jo'shua Sakwe Odine Is an Innovative, Singer, Songwriter, Guitar Virtuoso, and MC.
Born March 17th,1987 in Jefferson City, Missouri - Jo'shua was the son of Marie Colette and Maurice Odine, who met in Haiti.
The Odine family moved around while Jo'Shua was young. Jeff City, to New Orleans, to Winston Salem North Carolina, and finally to Nashville, Tennessee.
At a young age Jo'shua was drawn to the guitar, but always most comfortable with guitar. His playing became his focus. "Seeing Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and Bob Marley changed my life for the better." At the age of 9 his father took Jo'Shua, and his brother, Jonathan, 8 at the time, to a music store called Joe's Music. There, Jo'Shua selected his very first guitar, Jonathan chose his first drum set - and they have both stuck to it. They would hold jam sessions in their Garage with various kids that play also.
At 16 Jo'shua began to Experiment with a "Smack and strum" percussive style of guitar influenced by hiphop ,and reggae. It has progressed into a powerful spiritual style mimicked ,and copied by some who've seen ,and heard it.
After Dropping out of school He was asked what he would do ,and he replied "Music"
"Im going to do My Music". Now coming more into his own , and always having been exposed to Rastafari He Now Overstands His Mission in life More So than Ever . continue to Heal People With the Mystic Sakwe Riddim. ( middle Name) A cult Underground following has started to Form in Nashville ,but The Mission is Worldwide Love and Music . WIth a Universal Message For the youth and of old. THere is a Band Called Almost a ghost (Adam Quellhorst bass)( Dan Twiford drums )He Leads ,but also Solo work.
