Joshua Smith

Hello everyone, I guess this is where I tell you about my life and my music, which is my life.

I grew up in Halifax Nova Scotia and was raised in a very musical family. My father is a musician firstly, and has been in the music industry for many years, he was a huge influence on me choosing music as a career.

I remember the day when I heard my first Beatles record, I always wanted to be able to write like Lennon. I was raised on Paul Simon, James Taylor, The Beatles, Neil Young and Joni Mitchel. Later I would find huge inspiration in Nickle Creek and Martin Sexton and Josh Rouse too.

As I grew up and gained experience gigging and learning from artists such as Phil Keaggy and Joshua Radin. Having lived in Nashville for a while, This gave me the confidence to make my first full length album. I released "Too Much Of Everything Else" October of 2008.

I now live in Kelowna British Columbia.

I love music with all my heart, it is my passion, it was in my heart before I was born:0) I want to be the best musician I can be.
