Josh Urban is a unique individual, to say the least. He got carried away in photoshop one day, and cooked up the Revolution to overthrow bad music.
He's a one-man rock show, philosopher, teacher, revolutionary railing against "bad music", but above all, entertainer. Sometimes he plays solo guitar and sings. When he needs to throw more fuel on the sonic fire, he'll cue up a few tracks he recorded and jam along with them. Playing both covers and originals, Josh describes his sound as "Stevie Ray Vaughan and the members of Pearl Jam go to a Billy Joel concert, and then write a song." Andrew Apanov, editor in chief of Ultimate-Guitar.com says of his latest album "Signalman":
"Sometimes it's difficult to believe what a one-man band can do. Josh Urban mixes fun, irony, and that kind of deep, yet pleasant melancholy like no one else I've heard before."
