"This Is Where I Came In" and "Why Can't I Let You Go?" was sung by Janet Hariton at Danny's Hideaway; "Empty Without You" and "It Matters So Much to Me" were sung by Audrey Lavine in concert at The National Arts Club. Carl Perkins lliked
Maverick and suggested the addition of the last verse. Margaret Whiting liked "Goin' On Empty" and
urged that it be sent to Nashville. It was Josh's first song picked up by a Nashville publisher. Josh's lyrics to "Every Boy Should Have a Jewish Mother" has been sung by the composer, Leonard Lehrman, at Carnegie Hall and in different languages all over the world.
