Bio

We all met at a local jam out in the Kansas countryside just outside of a tiny community called Carbondale where Josh was born and raised. Josh is 25 years old. His uncle Randy is the host of the bi-weekly jam which has been going on for several years. Josh cut his teeth playing at countless jams at his uncle Randy's place. We knew the first time the three of us played together that there was instant chemistry. Our music is a melting pot of different influences that have the guitar vibe of the late James Marshall Hendrix(Jimi) the Late Stevie Ray Vaughan, and also Freddie King, Robben Ford, Jimmy Reed and Son House. Josh's idol was Stevie Ray and Jimi when he was a a young guitarist. What sets us apart from alot of other bands is that when we take on a song like Voodoo Chile or Lenny, we try to be accurate with the tone and the groove of the song yet at the same time bringing our own style to the tune. Our music is ever evolving. We are a young band and we are still surprising each other everytime we play together which makes each performance fresh and full of energy.
Our original set is ful of songs that are none alike. Deadwater Road and it's infectious trance like groove is haunting and dark which is a match for the story it tells of a man thinking of doing away with an evil contentious wife.
Floor It is a song about Stevie Ray that Josh wrote in reference to an interview Stevie did that qoutes Stevie about his guitar style"I use heavy gauge strings, tune low and just floor it".
Them Lies is a slide song Josh wrote about 2 years ago that is in the traditional slide vein and then romps into an almost cajun/zydeco train shuffle with Lindsay on drums leading the way.
The Corruption Blues Josh wrote during the election period and is considered one of our funkier tunes.
These songs clearly reflect the different styles and grooves the band is capable of and enjoys writing.
