Jourdan Jackson's undying ambition to make a difference with lyrics creates a emotional connection to his listeners. With a story telling, old school hip- hop sound he easily creates a way for the listener to paint their own lyrical picture in their mind. More than anything Jourdan is a student of hip hop. He is continually attempting to create new flows inspired by different sub cultures within the hip hop culture. In his latest efforts Jourdan released a two part series mix tape "R.A.P Vol. 1 & 2" which aimed to showcase his growth as an artist and as a human being. The acronym "R.A.P" stands for Represent and Prosper, which is Jourdan's main objective during his journey to the top. "Never forget where you come from, stay humble, exceed all expectations, and give back" is a statement Jourdan lives by everyday.

Jourdan was born in Glendale, Arizona but moved to his current location in Las Vegas when he was 6 months old. Growing up his life had its own soundtrack thanks to his mother Rose. Every sunday Rose would clean house, cook and play her "oldies" while Jourdan ran in and out the house. "Music has been in my life and family for as far as i can remember" Jourdan adds. As a teen Jourdan had no idea how much music inspired his everyday dream of being a basketball star. Before every game Jourdan would find a place to be alone and listen to music from his rap idols. It seems only right for him to make his own musical catalogue of inspiration. A few of his hip hop inspirations include Jay-Z, Kanye West, Nas and Eminem.

Amongst recent shows and out of state recognition, Jourdan's most recent accomplishment was being a top 4 finalist on Hot New Hip Hop's "HeatSeeker" contest. The staff of Hot New Hip Hop had this to say, "Jourdan Jackson has a back-to-basics feel to his music. His delivery is reminiscent of 90s experimentalists like De La Soul or A Tribe Called Quest. He brings a similar boom bap flavor on the production side as well. Add a likeable personality, and some interesting punchlines, and you've got a surefire threat to break out in the rap game."

Approaching the release of his album "Rose Gold" he keeps in mind, "Let the art and hard work speak for itself." Jourdan's only aspiration is to represent the people who helped raise him and prosper to give back to those and his community. "Give me a voice and Ill make a difference." His hard work and dedication WILL pay off.
