Bio

Joy was born in New Orleans, Lousiana to Fred and Willye Daniels. They moved thier family to Iselin New Jersey, where Joy attend St. Cecilia's Catholic School. It was here that Joy developed her singing voice, and became influence by the 80's pop culture. Meanwhile, back at home, Joy's parents were listening to Motown Classics and heavy Gospel music. Her parents then began a church when Joy was 7 years old. It was here, Joy learned to play the drums and sing, at the same time. Later the family moved to Spotswood, New Jersey, where Joy became a member of the elemtary school concert and jazz band. Joy's teacher, Mr. Eagan saw her amazing ability to learn quickly and then used her as a utiity player. He taught her how to play the Bass Guitar, Euphonium, and Trumpet. By the time Joy went to High School, she was a very well trained musician on more than one instrument. In High School Joy was a member of the Honors Wind Ensemble, The Jazz Band, Chamber Chior, Chorus, and Pep Band. Joy was playing a different instrument in each band gruop she performed in, and singing Alto in the Chamber Chior and Chorus. During High School Joy and a few friends formed a band called The Natural Theory. This band became Joy's Creative outlet and helped her to develop her stage performance. Always a natural on stage, Joy captivated audience all across the tri-state area leading her band with songs she herself had written. As Joy graduate high school she recieve the national Louis Armstrong Jazz award, and was honored by her school as one of the greatest musicians to ever pass through Spotswood. Joy then set off to embark upon her music career at Berklee College of Music. It was there Joy became a known professional musician Singing backgrounds, playing percussion, and producing for many aritist in the Boston Area. On March 26th, 2005 Joy finally debut some of her solo Material and at a self-produced cafe show "Joy InsideOut". Audiences recieved her with applause and were amazed and Joy's ability to perform, and inspire audience with words. Now, Joy is working on her much awaited first solo album. The sky is the limit for this charasmatic, inspirational, and brilliant woman.
