Joy Davis Band

Blazing a trail through the Country music world, Texas born sweetheart Joy Davis has been setting her mark and reaching beyond her dreams. Raised by a family of musicians, Joy had the genetic urge to pursue her passion for music from the start. Joy grew up on stages all over the country watching her father, Texas Music Hall of Fame guitarist, "Slidin' Stevie Davis" perform with Bugs Henderson and Stevie Ray Vaughn. With influences from Emmylou Harris and Patty Griffin to Ray Charles and Patsy Cline, Joy and her older sister committed to making a name for themselves. After years of singing back-up vocals, and learning all she could about the music industry, Joy finally came into her own.

Her solo career kicked off in 2001 with her performance at The Austin City Limits Festival, The Texas Rodeo, and Festival shows across the state. In the fall of 2007, Joy began giving back to her community by joining forces with Texas CASA. Her goal is to bring awareness to Texans about our forgotten children. Joy joined CASA in benefits across the state urging people to "Come Along" and join the fight against child neglect and abuse. Shortly after signing a development deal with producer Chris Estes of Bestes Music in Nashville, Tennessee, Joy found herself in the crossroads of the choice between her family and her career.

After a 2 year break, Joy is back and stronger than ever. Regaining focus on her initial goals of reaching out through her music to help anyone and everyone she can, she hopes to inspire and make a difference with every song she writes. Joy believes that being a musician isn't about the glamour and recognition, it's about the love of music and the expression of life.
