Hello, we're Joyous, we make songs to make your muscles move.
Through some divine chance, the five of us ran into each other in 2008, armed with individual influence and ideas. We quickly started making an almighty racket, drunkenly treading the fine line between harmony and disorder. Our music is representation of the relationships we have within the band and the relationships that the band has with everybody else.
Our musical influence is pretty broad, from Paul Simon right through The Smiths to Pavement and Arcade Fire.
To get a real feel for what we do, you need to see us live. We push ourselves every time we set foot on stage, which really is something to be witnessed.
