Joy Plague

BandRockClassical

Cutting-edge melodic hard rock out of Milwaukee. Good chemistry is integral to our performances. If our music is not presented as a complete unit which INCLUDES the audience, we fail as a band; nobody would experience anything. We bring all we have to what we play.

Biography

We've been together for 4 years out of Milwaukee, WI. We are influenced on a whole mainly by metal, electronic, and classical music. We give the audience the show they expect; we are trained musicians, our performances have high energy and we play with a live string quartet for part of our shows.

Lyrics

The Looking Glass

Written By: Greg Corcoran

If you don't do anything
you'll never do anything
never be anything
Is that what you want to do
because that's what you do
It's hard to believe
I just can't see that you'll never
do that to me

Listless and vacant
you don't believe in yourself
Blood-shot eyes stare at your empty life
Victim of apprehension
your complication is your mind

The world you perceive to be
is not your enemy
it's you

Your version of truth will always
take you down
take you down

Break the walls around you
dig your grave- it's all the same
the hands that choke you
are your own

Stand up proud or fade away
listen to me
unless you like to complain

So who is next to blame
for what you lack
your newest reason to hide away

Just once, just once, just once
could you pretend that there is
a chance

If you don't do anything
you'll never do anything
never be anything
Is that what you want to do
because that's what you do
It's hard to believe
I just can't see that you'll never
do that to me

Wreck

Written By: Greg Corcoran

I think I'm feeling
a little pulse inside my head
pushing me into a train wreck
Another moment not to forget
I won't forget

You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me
You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me

I keep my head up
even though I'm out of control
It's like I'm crashing into a wall
I won't even blink at all
I'll take it all

You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me
You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me

You keep me splintered inside
and it's alright with me
You've made this broken life
and it's alright with me

From all the pain I get I learn
without one regret, one regret,
one regret

Until I rise again I burn
just like a cigarette, cigarette,
cigarette

You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me
You keep my life a wreck
Outta check
You know it's alright, alright with me

My Favorite Disease

Written By: Greg Corcoran

You're in my head
you're in my heart
I wish I could break off all the parts
where you're still inside of my

Losing faith in faith
Losing everything that I can't replace
can't replace much of anything at all

I've tried throwing it all away
The more it burns
the more that I say
Losing you would make my day

I've lost what I consider me
Thank you so much for
letting me free
from my sanity

You're my favorite disease
and I'm down on my knees
as I'm dying inside

Oh my darling please
save this life for me
Sunlight cries for me again

Pick me up
Pick me up
Pick me up
Pick me up

You gotta pick me up cause I'm feeling hollow
Everything is keeping me existence low
Looking for a reason reason that I can't find

I'm sure you could give in a seconds time
I'm sure you could give in a seconds time
But you bring me down
you bring me down

I Give up give in and I can't win
Against the tide of my own life
Leave me here to mend my mind one more time

So what so what do you need to feed your own consuming void inside yourself
You're my infection you're my infliction

You're my favorite disease
and I'm down on my knees
as I'm dying inside

Oh my darling please
save this life for me
Sunlight cries for me again

Sunlight cries for me again

You're my infection
