JOZÉE DEVOUA: une voix de chez nous!
Voilà c'est fait! La chanteuse de la région, Jozée Devoua a lancé son premier album qui a pour titre LOW KEY. Un talent de chez nous à découvrir. Une voix jazzée qui vous chavire le coeur! ..J’ai eu le plaisir de la regarder longuement, de baigner dans l’atmosphère calme et sereine qu’elle s’est créée. Discography
In 2007, Jozee’s efforts culminated in the recording of her debut album “Low Key” which as now sold copies all over the world (Greece, Australia, Netherlands, Taiwan, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Swedan, the United States and Canada). Breathing new life into jazz standards, it is an eclectic mix of traditional swing, blues, latin and even a jazzed up version of Carole King’s 1970’s Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow. The album shows Jozee covers artists as diverse as Cole Porter, Tom Jobim, Charles Aznavour, Carole King in three different languages. Jozee is proud to donate one dollar of each album sold to the Canadian Diabetes Association, diagnosed with type 1 diabetes herself, at age 21.
In September of 2009, one of the tracks on Jozée's was chosen to be on a bossa nova compilation to be sold in Taiwan, Hong Kong and China with a well known international licensing and distribution company.

Jozée Devoua has emerged as one of the leading jazz vocalists in the Ottawa area.
Audiences have come to love Jozee’s rich voice, creative phrasing as well as genuine and charismatic on-stage personality, describing her concerts as.."intimate like you were in your living room with friends, relaxing and really funny.."
Fluent in French and English, Jozee also sings in Spanish and Portuguese to answer to the versatility of her repertoire that includes both the established standards of yesteryear as well as today’s modern classics. She is known for rebuilding, reharmonizing, and singing in a variety of jazz styles with a band of excellent musicians
Her buttery-rich smooth tone coupled with her unsettling sensitivity as a performer has allowed her to develop a unique and refined sound that has multi-audience appeal.
