Bio
Born in Regina, SK Canada, on October 2, 1983 Jeremy P. Walters (akaJ. Pesos), fell in love with music and began his rapping career at the age of 16. Pesos soon realized his talent when he began freestyle battling on the mean streets of Winnipeg, MB in 1999. In 2000, he took his lyrical talent west to Calgary, AB where he co-founded Karma Records and began recording.
Pesos soon found that rapping wasn’t his only talent when he put pen to paper and began writing his own music in 2002. He has also written songs for other artists such as Frenzy, Nadi D, Stanton, Lyriq, Lil Hood and many others.
Pesos and Frenzy decided to record an album that would promote their movement and in June 2009, the New Gangsta Rap album was released. In early 2010 Pesos began to work on his second solo album, Light Skin Hollywood. As well, Pesos has been featured on other artist’s albums such as Frenzy, Staton, Def 3, Cashius Cane, Philly O, Dizzy D.
Pesos toured across Canada in 2009 playing over 100 shows in Wpg, MB. Banff, AB. Calgary, AB. Edmonton, AB. Saskatoon, SK. Kelowna, BC. Vancouver, BC and surrounding areas. As well as being the opening performer for artists such Royce da 5”9, Obie Trice, and Canada’s own, Belly, Danny Fernandes, Swollen Members and Moka Only.
