Both classically and jazz trained, Toronto native JP Greco is a brilliant musician. With 19 years of study and practice under his belt, JP has been focused on his career as a singer/songwriter. Dabbling over a variety of instruments his forte is unquestionably the piano.
His chamber pop feel is a culmination of eclectic sounds stemming from his formal musical training background and European heritage. His uplifting melodies lend themselves to a theatrical sound that fills the room and fills the body; a rich, deep, multi-layered sound, that resonates well with his audiences.
Much like his own life, JP's music is complex but not complicated. His determination and dedication have helped to guide him when contributing to various band projects, and in developing his solo career. His music has charm and balance; complimenting both the environments in which he plays and the audience to whom he plays.
Lyrically, JP's songs are like a pendulum of emotion. Filled with both hope and despair, his approach is honest and his sound is pure. His evocative tunes remind you that there is a light at the end of every tunnel.
JP has performed extensively in Toronto, has joined line-ups for such events as the Jeff Buckley Tribute and the Brampton Indie Arts Festival at the Heritage Theatre. He has also been featured on the nationwide CBC Radio 2 program 'New Music Canada'.
