"Valley Votes Fest"

On the 15th of September, Seafoam Sound Events is proud to present the first annual Valley Votes Festival (VVF) at The Pressroom. This will be our most important event to date, attracting over 400 people in its inaugural year for the joint cause of uniting the local arts community, while educating the public about the upcoming November elections, and registering people to vote.

The event will feature public speakers, info booths, food and drink, and of course amazing local music. Valley Votes Fest will educate the community on the various ballot measures and inform people about the registration and voting processes in Arizona, while raising money for ACE. - Az Resist

Bio

Originally from Sacramento, CA, Joseph Haggins, also known as Jprotege, now calls Tempe, AZ his home. He became a Producer in 2008 out of his deep love for music. Some of his influences include: Pharrell Williams, the old Kanye, DJ Toomp and 9th Wonder.

Before Jprotege made his way to the Valley of the Sun, he gained notoriety by producing for fellow Sacramento natives, Celly Ru who is now signed to Mozzy Records and Caleborate whose song "Sums Up" is featured on A3C Volume 7.

Upon moving to Arizona in 2010, Jprotege met Zach Beck, known as Futuristic, during a pick-up basketball game at a local gym. The two touched base a short time after, which led Jprotege to produce two songs for the Sheesh World Star, Futuristic. He began to build an online presence and received placement on The Dipset affiliate Un Kasa's "The Wait is Over" Mixtape.

One of Jprotege’s proudest moments was in 2017, when he produced his first, full-length EP with a talented Singer/Songwriter Leewater, formally Lead Singer of The Color 8 Band. Jprotege was also fortunate enough to land placements on two of Tucson's most talented artists’ projects, Cash Lansky’s “Vibin” and Marley B’s “Burnin Away”.

Jprotege has also tried his hand at DJing. His most notable DJing has been for the rising star, Julius King, at the 2018 A3C Festival in Atlanta, GA. Live solo performances have also been added to the Producers’ repertoire. Some of his performances include: headlining the Snood City Artist Stage at the Pot of Gold Music Festival on March 15th, 2019, which was held at the Phoenix Steele Indian School Park, the Valley Votes Fest on September 15th, 2018, which was held at the Pressroom in Phoenix, AZ, and Arizona Hip Hop Festival in 2016 and 2017.

Currently, Jprotege is working on projects, in which he will be entirely producing, set to release in the Summer and Fall of this year. He plans to expand his horizons and grow his music career.
