Bio

JP has played with and opened for a range of established act, among them, Rod Stewart (playing in a lineup that also featured Natasha Bedingfield, in additional host of additional acts). Other acts that JP has either toured and played with, or opened for, include Chris Diffard, New York Folk Band, Ollabelle, UK Interactive Artist, David Jackson, (saxophonist and former band member of Van der Graaf Generator), UK session bassist, Andy Baker and Italian guitar virtuoso, Beppe Gambetta. With a song from his first album finding its way onto a US motion picture, one of his tracks was also a winning entry in the America Open Door Songwriting Competition, Judged by ASCAP, BMI and the Gospel Music Association. Although JP Ryan's first album, 'Dancing With Anima' consist of a mellow selection of Adult Contemporary songs, recorded with a collection of top Irish session players including Des Moore, and James Blennerhassett, his latest album, 'Take A Walk With Me' sees a change in direction, this time with a collection of Nashville's finest, including SESAC Award winner, Thomm Jutz who produced and played on the album. It also includes drummer, Lynn Williams, Grammy Award winning bassist, Mark Fain, Britt Savage, multi-instrumentalist, Justin Moses, (part of the Ricky Skaggs current line-up), JT Brown and Gary Smith. The album will be released on 28th February, 2014. His new single 'We Can Be Found' is now available from all reputable download stores.
