JP Soars & The Red Hots bring "old school" traditional blues and roots influences into the picture, with all original songs, so flawlessly delivered, that they have the feel of old standards.
The driving force behind this band who consider South Florida their home, is Arkansas-bred guitarist, singer and songwriter, John Paul "J.P." Soars. J.P.'s own influences have been T Bone Walker, Guitar Slim, Johnny "Guitar Watson, Junior Watson, Hollywood Fats, and Django Reinhardt.
Be it West Coast style, or Chicago, Texas style or swing, they remain first and foremost, true to the blues.
As recent winners of the South Florida Blues Society's annual International Blues Challenge, JP and the guys look forward to competing for the IBC title in Memphis in 2008. Their exciting and authentic live performances are something to behold.
