Bio
JRed Da Poet's music is a mixture of urban, hip hop, Rap and soulful R&B; a new age Akon. The cousin of the late Haidan Neale of the Canadian group JackSoul. JRed born in Trinidad came to Canada when he was just three years old and calls Toronto his home. His love of music started at a very young age where he gravitated to the beat of the drum. As a preteen he played drums and sang all over Canada and United States for different Gospel Choirs. He then joined his Brothers Joseph and David to form the Group NEALE where he was a drummer, writer and singer. They released a few bodies of work self titled Neale Ep and Get Loud album to name a couple. JRED quickly realized that he had a style of his own and loved the Urban/Rap/hip hop musical style and ventured in his own lane and so came the Birth of JRed Da Poet. Since then has performed in Cleveland for Nerve DJS 13th anniversary, and performed as far as Rotterdam and Amsterdam Netherlands at the New Skool Rules Urban Music Conference and festival. JRed has also had a song placement with a CBC Television series KIM’S CONVENIENCE. He recently released his self titled debut EP.
