J RockA and Sarai Knowledge

Released in the fall of 2009, JUST BE The EP earned J RockA and Sarai Knowledge an immediate buzz, gaining them recognition as new up and coming artists in the music industry. Only a month after its release they were interviewed by The Source Magazine, placed in XXL Magazine, and had major radio play nationwide of their two singles “Do You Believe” and “Bump The Beat”. With their release of JUST BE The EP, featuring production by Drew Correa, 2009 Grammy award winning producer for Lil Wayne's "Mr. Carter" ( ft. Jay-Z ), J RockA and Sarai Knowledge are continuing to push the envelope.

Since then, they have captivated audience’s attention at festivals, benefit concerts, fashion shows,skateboarding events and opening for classic hip hop heavyweights KRS-One and Slick Rick. J RockA and Sarai have blazed legendary stages across the country such as The Roxy Theatre on the famous Sunset Blvd in Hollywood and The Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, New York and even abroad to The Philippines on remote islands where many of the dazzled spectators had never even seen live hip hop before. They have shared stages and collaborated on projects with familiar names as Travie McCoy, Quest Love and Martin Luther from The Roots, Fashawn, E-40, San Quinn, Mistah Fab, Erk Tha Jerk, Phil the Agony, Afu-Ra, and the infamous Ky-mani Marley.

Behind the scenes in the studio, J RockA and Sarai’s acclaimed sound comes from Grammy winning producers such as Father MC ( Mary J. Blige, Jodeci, P. Diddy ), and Drew Correa ( Lil Wayne,Common, Rihanna ) as well as hip hop’s most respected DJs and producers like Madlib ( Talib Kweli ), DJ Premier ( Gangstarr ), PF Cuttin ( Sean Price ), Nima Fadavi ( Hieroglyphics ), Anon ( Mos Def ) and Zack Crawford ( Twista ).

With continuous efforts of fusing music and fashion, J RockA and Sarai Knowledge are the perfect amalgamation for rocking the stage at fashion shows. In November 2009, they were featured at an important merger of hip hop and high couture entertainment performing in the historic rotunda of San Francisco City Hall's "Hip-Hop Meets Couture" Fashion Show event sponsored by Ed Hardy Clothing and The Source Magazine, where J RockA and Sarai received much notoriety and publicity. In July 2011, 7X7 Magazine also covered their memorable performance at the San Francisco fall release fashion show of major urban fashion lines such as LRG, DGK, D-Structure, and Organika.

JUST BE Records stays committed in being involved within the community such as organic living education, community gardening, homeless outreach, the Youth Speaks poetry organization, and cannabis awareness. The JUST BE Movement seeks to inspire one another to be motivated in the various processes of community building to help enrich the culture. J RockA founded JUST BE Records based on theidealism of J.ustice, U.nity, S.trength, T.ruth, B.eyond E.xpectations always striving to continually bring a new sound that speaks to the peoples’ highest aspirations and ideals.
