J.ROD the Realest is about to begin work on his debut album, “Cali Boy Swag”, much to the excitement of his already sizeable army of fans. The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in foster homes, his life was full instability. However, music was always a constant in a sea of uncertainty. In fact, it was during this tumultuous time in his life that J.ROD was introduced to Hip-Hop, and his passion for music began to grow. His first foray into writing rhymes came when he was only 14 years old. Shortly thereafter, when he was in high school, he began B-Boying and DJing, solidifying his love of Hip-Hop. However, he would certainly include Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, James Brown, Ludacris, and Rakim as his biggest influences.

After realizing that making music was his main goal, J.ROD began to showcase his talent in various venues across California’s Bay Area, performing at numerous gigs & open mics, making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that he brought to the Hip-Hop & urban scene, and his popularity began to grow. As his confidence matured and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following begin to cultivate and he became a popular local hit in the San Jose music scene.
