STATE OF THE UNION: In a reversal of sales fortunes, R&B is on the upswing and once seemingly invincible hip-hop is losing ground. This chart/sales symposium assesses the story behind the numbers and projects what’s ahead.

Bio

From the streets of West Texas, where pain and struggle is apparent in the everyday lives of our people, there emerges an artist that understands and expresses this lifestyle through his music. An artist that can relate to many crowds and adapt to any environment whether it be good or bad. It is said that he has a song for every day of the week; for riding in a car, spinning in the club, and for that special someone. This is an artist who has literally taken nothing and turned it into something more powerful and influencing than he could have ever dreamed. His songs are heard throughout clubs, radio stations, and people from this country to the next. The opportunity for advancement in the music industry is at an unlimited potential for this artist, just reaching his early 20's. From a bitter part of life, losing his father at the age of 14 and his mom abandoning him, he was forced to become a man. Stuck in a time of his life where everything was going wrong and he was trying to go right. Jerome Riggins started his rap career in the Summer of 2007 by teaming with a group of young college students who shared the same ambition and passion for music. It started with his first show at Dos amigos in Odessa, opening for none other than the infamous DMX. It then continued on to bigger and better things when he was invited to Atlanta for The Billboard Hip Hop and R&B Conference and Awards. There he performed in front of the music industries most respected A&R representatives from this countries biggest record labels. After his street smashing performance everyone wanted a piece of the action and things were feeling a little to big to balance with just him. So upon arrival back in Midland Jerome signed with All Or Nothing Inc. (an independent record label that focuses on Hip-Hop) and started production on his new mixtape "KING KILLA ROW" (volume 1). This mixtape is to be released in the summer of 2008 with promotions and performances throughout West Texas. Filled with some of this years hottest beats, J.ROW plans to set the streets of West Texas on fire with this one, so let me be the first to say "welcome to the STRUGGLE."
