North Carolina's Jazmen Safina (Jazmen Flagler) has just released her new single 'Intoxicated' from her second EP, 'Damaged Goods'. Over a laid-back, dreamy beat, Jazmen's emotionally expressive and soulful voice sings of the irresistible, intoxicating allure of someone who she knows is 'no good for me', but gives her a feeling that is 'something else, even if it's only temporary'.

Jazmen started performing in a gospel choir at the age of three, with first her solo at five, saying 'I've been singing since I could talk...it's just something that I've always done...my Mom sings, my Dad sings, they both write songs...and it was just something that I was always around', and with her parents encouragement, her dad raised her on New Edition and Michael Jackson, she followed her passion for singing and as she got older she 'started to listen to my own things...Sade...Erykah Badu, Corrine Bailey Rae, Jill Scott, Chrisette Michelle, Alicia Keys...a lot of the more soulful artists have influenced, you know, what I do'. Singing covers on YouTube progressed to writing her own material, with her first project 'The Pain Of Pleasure' being released in 2012, and she is currently getting ready for the release of her new EP 'Damaged Goods', saying 'I'm still getting used to putting my own stuff out there...I'm really sensitive about my music because it is 'my music', you know, those are my words, those are my experiences, it's coming from my heart'.
