"Blues Boosters"

A dynamic and innovative modern Blues Trio.

New to the Bay Area Blues scene...They are always a crowd pleaser with a song list that covers a wide range of styles from the 1920's to the 21st century. Unusual arrangements and expert timing set them apart. This ain't no Jam Band.

If you want to see modern Blues done by pros check out this new exciting act.

Guitarist and vocalist J. Shelby has a smooth Style that is comfortable with Rockin' Blues, Swing Blues and Jazzing Big Band-style Blues and has a pleasant midrange voice...

....is tight, disciplined and innovative.

Glade Rasmussen is most likely the best bassist one will ever hear in a small venue -- truly one of the greats."

Bio

J. SHELBY on guitar on vocals is a San Francisco Bay Area guitarist with an abiding respect for Blues music, especially the styles of Robben Ford and Stevie Ray Vaughn. He has toured with Lori Davidson and The Intruders (John Lee Hooker's back up band). He has been a teacher all of his adult life and approaches teaching and playing from a spiritual perspective influenced by his many years as a karate instructer.

GLADE RASMUSSEN on bass is a 12-year veteran of the Los Angeles music scene and has toured with Reba McIntyre, Barbara Mandrel, Bob Seger and many others. He started young and has performed Rock, Blues, County and Jazz for over 25 years. Glade is one of the most sought after bassists in the San Francisco Bay Area.

MARK MACARIO on drums has been playing for over 20 years. He studied music at the College of New Jersey and the Drummer's Collective in New York. He was a founding member of Tom Jonsing. Mark's San Franciso Bay Area performance highlights included The Fillmore, Bimbo's, Slim's and The Guinness Oyster Festival. Mark is also a member of the pop Celtic group Blue on Green.
