Who Is J.Sicario???

Jonathan Gonzalez also known by his stage name J.Sicario is an upcoming artist from Paterson, NJ. At an early age J.Sicario fell in love with Hip Hop right after he heard a song played by his older cousin called “Move Something” by 2 Live Crew. He soon became a fanatic of this specific genre of music. Amazed with the different sounds & styles that the genre provided from each Coast, J.Sicario’s music taste palate grew as time past. He listened to music from artist such as Slick Rick, Lords of The Underground, Dr. Dre, Onyx, The Notorious B.I.G., Wu-Tang, Tupac & many more.

At the age of 14 J.Sicario was invited to a birthday party where he heard a local rap group from “East Side High School” playing music from their debut mixtape. He was intrigued on how someone close to his age made it sound so easy to put words together to form lyrics & without a doubt the duo’s music sound great. Their music inspired him into trying to write lyrics that year. J.Sicario soon found it to be quite easy to rhyme words into lyrics as he practiced on a daily basis. To him the most difficult part of the whole writing process was always the first line. Your first line always has to make a major impact on the topic you choose to carry. Practice makes perfect.

From 16 to 17 J.Sicario wrote for hours and practiced his craft. His High School friend soon told him of another friend he knew that rapped as well by the name of Antuan. They then met to have a rap battle in East Side High School’s gym locker room. Impressed with each other’s performance they both continued through the year trying to see who was able to write the quickest & deliver the best lines. J.Sicario then met another rap artist from his high school by the name of BiG’s AKA 2G. They were both in the same class and in a matter of time they both started to exchange lyrics on a daily basis. Soon J.Sicario meet fellow future rap partner Damaso “Da Don” & they formed a rap group by the name “Da Alliance”.

At the beginning of the summer of 2002 “Da Alliance” began the writing process to their unreleased mixtape called “A Kings Throne”. While in the works of the mixtape they put together & released a demo to hand out to promoters & Entertainments. Their project was complete and ready to distribute, but they soon had a fall out due to certain situations a couple months prior to the release date. J.Sicario continued writing but put his career on pause.

In the summer of 2015 a video producer/music engineer by the name of “Bucky” asked J.Sicario why he paused his career for so long. He urged him to continue what he started, because he had the talent to become something great in the industry. J.Sicario did as was told & followed Bucky’s advice. With the urge & hunger for his presence to be known once again, J.Sicario went with his cousin to buy studio equipment to get his music career started up again. He set out a goal to release 1 track every week via social media. He did as was promised but stopped right after he made the decision to create an album out of his hard work.

J.Sicario soon saw an old friend that lived in the same building as he did & came to the whereabouts of his friends continued activity in the music industry. J.Sicario joined his friends Entertainment informing his friend of his dreams & goals. J.Sicario & his friend came to an understanding that they would help each other with their success in the music industry. J.Sicario felt comfortable and started to sign up for any artist showcase that came along the way. His Brother-In-Law told him of 1 specific showcase called “Coast 2 Coast Live”. So J.Sicario did sign up for the showcase. He was soon on his way to perform in front of platinum producers such as “Jimi Kendrix” & “Music Mystro” & “Erik Mendelson” Manager of Platinum Recording Artist “MIMS”.

Later on J.Sicario was signed up to perform at another event at the “Blue Room Lounge” in Secaucus, NJ called “TheNextBigShowCase” which was hosted by his new associates Cliff Po & Dj Tarzan. He knew that this was just the beginning of greater things to come down the line. Now after several performances done for events such as “The Next Big Showcase”, “Microphone Madness” & “We Are New Jersey Magazine” J.Sicario has now completed his debut album “Patiently Waiting”,and is now working on a new project which will be named "Failure is not an Option". First single is Vintage which was released on Feb 14, 2017 on Soundcloud which as of today it has over 12,000 plays. You Ready?
