Bio

Joel T. Robinson is a 1984 native of Memphis, TN. He was born, the child of and educator (Queen Robinson) and a pastor (Luke Robinson), and a sibling of two children (Marquis Robinson and Erin Robinson). Throughout the years in being under the influence of his brothers and many different people who sang in the church chior, wrote and played music, Joel began to discover his music inclination, and later began wanting to start his musical journey. In the inspiration of being under the limited-time leadership and/or company of musical talent and looking up to many different local singers, he decided to get more into making music by turning feelings and emotion into melody. In the later 90's and early 2000, He made two attempts to begin his musical mission, but became discouraged after, and began to wonder if music was for him. While trying to deny his musical ability, doors began to open for everyone all around him. Having the fact in mind that many will be able to make his dream happen, Joel decided to launch! In 2000, his parents got the call from God to move to Cleveland, OH, where they would be Principal/Superintendant of an educational system (Mrs. Robinson), and a Pastor of Churches (Mr. Robinson) in that area. Sad hearted, Joel moved not knowing that God brought him there to better his musical career!

In 2002, Joel went off to attend Oakwood College in Huntsville, AL, where soon, Inner Spirit was formed! They loved each other, and performed as a very spiritual group. They sang around this city and recorded, If We Pray. The devil began attacking this group because of the spirituality that they not only kept within the group, but the influence they gave in performing. Not long after, Inner Spirit broke up. He was heart broken, depressed and wanted to give up!

Pesented the opportunity in 2003, He made quick decisions and eventually landed a job working for Beamon Records, and instantly left Huntsville, AL to reside in Nashville, TN. Feeling good about this decision, he set out to Nashville as the "Director of the Gospel Division". Another heartbreak hit him after just a couple of hours officially working for Beamon Records, he no longer was. Joel decided to give up! He returned to Cleveland, OH, not even thinking about the musical journey.

In 2003, Joel was led to meeting best friend/brother, Johnny Williams, by a church member and pushed Joels musical ability by getting him to play for his church, pastored my his mother (Linda Williams). Through the years, Joel and Johnnys' relationship grew to brotherhood! They opened a home studio, where Joel recorded, Psalms of Him. (The project featuring, There for Me) He traveled to a church event right outside of Columbus, OH, for a church event and was introduced to Dwayne Golson of 5 O'Clock Music, by his father (Mr. Robinson). Shortly after, Joel was sent a track from 5 O'Clock Music, an opportunity to write for an artist. Joel decided to partake of the oppurtunity. His idea wasn't used but he still aimed for it to turn into something bigger! Joel left and moved back to Memphis In 2006, where his christianity began to form, and "Jsoule Tyrell" was born.

In 2008, the devil started to attack and devise was to make him sway by tempting him with different things. Even the opportunity to become an R&B artist! Hooking up with an old friend, he began working for "The Cut Studio" as Jsoule Tyrell. It began, and his name grew fast by tracks he made for others, and his own. He go close to them and worked as Jsoule, the R&B singer. He soon left The Cut Studio, with the harsh feeling that God was disappointed by this decision. It wasn't long after that he again relocated. Back in the city of Nashville, he again became lonely on the inside and began to give up again.

Upon coming back into Nashville in 2008, Joel contacted Dwayne Golson to pursue that bigger dream! He had started to get so comfortable as an artist until he saw himself sepearate that be began to realize that Jsoule was beginning to get closer to God than Joel was! With this in mind, he decided to go ahead and uplift Jsoule, and make him a role model that could lead him to the meaning of true christianity! A little over a year later, he went back to memphis to record create projects. Joel settled roughly but got closer to his cousins, friends, and best friend, Courtney "Beanie" Barnes, and began creating. They got close began wanting for Gods heart. They began searching and searching for Gods heart until they became opened, and was ready to make some changes and Jsoules message again got strong! He got his cousin Q and Beanie to record what he had written and named, "Christian", and Jsoule got closer to God. Joel to this day, still strives to follow the steps of the christian minded, believing that one day, he will become a "christian boy" like Jsoule portrays! Joel says, "...as the onlooker, I love Jsoule because he is the portrait of the true christian, and even his music matches with the lif
