J.Stoops has funk like the Red Hot Chili Peppers, catchy hooks, lyrics with the style of rhymes and rhythmic syncopation, pop undertones like John Mayer and the energy of Dave Matthews Band. Unique but familiar.

With a graphic arts graduate, an engineer, an Escalade-driving roughneck, and a pastor's kid who likes to have a little too much fun, J.Stoops is a Milwaukee band whose dulcet disposition and honeyed hooks will leave you feeling, well, different. Just so often as they should, new types of music emerge to devour the airwaves of entropy. J.Stoops is one such example: with Jordan Stupar (lead vocals/guitar/piano), Brian Cieslak (drums), Francis "Funk" Aberin (bass) and Johnny Kinslow (guitar/keyboards) on a stage, or in a studio, something raw and extremely addicting will be created. With "For Those Who Dream" making the cut into the top 20 finalists on 103.7 KISS FM during "Kiss Icon" in early 2009, and a slew of highly-anticipated debut gigs near the end of the year, J.Stoops anticipates 2010 to be a break-out year to remember. Shooting stars the same, these boys won't break the mold, they'll recreate it.
