JT MakeMoves

Hailing from North Carolina by way of Durham, John Taylor, also known as JT MakeMoves is exploding on to the music scene in a menacing fashion. He has been recognized by some as a completely different breed of recording artist.  A distinct delivery, coupled with a clever dose of wit, give his lyrics the ability to reach and grab the listener by the ear.  Born in 1992, legend has it that his first words were “whoomp, there it is” from the popular song of the same name released by Tag Team.  In the third grade at the age of 7 years old, he starred in the school musical where he played the lead role of Santa Clause.  As a part of the youth church choir, he was well known for how passionately he would articulate the lyrics at such a young age.  As MakeMoves grew into adolescence, rapping became a more integral part of everyday life.  He evolved from just freestyling for fun at school and in his neighborhood with the homies, to writing entire songs over contemporary industry instrumentals and beats found on Youtube.  JT MakeMoves would first enter the recording studio in 2009 whilst attending The University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  After hearing his own voice professionally mixed, he knew that it was time to take music seriously.  After 5 years of honing his artistry, MakeMoves released his debut single, “The World Is Yours!” on Soundcloud in 2014.  He debuted the track live at a local club during his first-ever performance as an opening act and it was met with an overwhelmingly positive response.  On December 19, 2015, the same day that he graduated college, JT MakeMoves dropped his debut project A.R.T: All Real Talk on Spinrilla.  In June of 2016 he was featured on Adolf Slizzy’s hard-hitting banger “Slow Leak”, with the visual being available on Youtube and other popular blog sites.  Since his debut JT MakeMoves has performed over 10+ shows, released A.R.T: All Real Talk for digital distribution as well as many other singles and videos.
