"JatR : a musical journey"

From rhythmic syncopated punk, to thoughtful ballads Juanita and the Rabbit are a musical journey...

"New to the scene with "So Hip""

Their minimalistic approach, though hard-hitting, remains playful.

""They're funny, cool and lo-fi as fuck.."

"They're funny, cool and lo-fi as fuck..introducing San Francisco garage punk duo, Juanita and the Rabbit." - Rob Forbes - Leicester Bangs Uk online

""..this legally wedded duo kicks way more ass than any of your married friends.."

"..this legally wedded duo kicks way more ass than any of your married friends, Lo Fi to the core, Elizabeth aint no wilting daisy behind the kit, but a full fledged force..she truly makes womanhood proud: feminine without being delicate." - theneave.com

""..turn your ears towards S.F.'s Juanita and the Rabbit..."

"If You're looking to further distance yourself from pseudo punk brat chic,..turn your ears towards S.F.'s Juanita and the Rabbit. As dirty and in the raw as a crumpled bed sheet, this husband wife team clunk with the bare essentials ala Flipper..." "Brett at times sounds like a calamitous merge between Frank Black and Lou Reed"
- -Ray Van Horn Jr.

""...Brett and Elizabeth Cline kick some mighty bluesy-rock ass..."

San Francisco husband/wife team Brett and Elizabeth Cline kick some mighty bluesy-rock ass in their 2nd release as JUANITA AND THE RABBIT. Out Of The Grave: Into The Fire is a nice step forward from their debut Feeling The Love / AMPLIFIED!!, in no small part due to their collaboration on the project with local legend TIM GREEN as sound engineer. Bass and drums never sounded more full and gutsy, and the vocals soar nicely above the instrumental fray. They keep it simple, like local hero NOBUNNY, with better results to my ears than other two pieces like the TING TINGS. It’s also nice that J&TR break the two-piece mold by choosing bass guitar as the lead melodic instrument. And they even include a non-ironic gospel vocal workout called “Faith,” to surprisingly sweet effect. - Piratecatradio.com

Bio

Juanita and the Rabbit's follow up album Out of the Grave, delivers a new sound for the duo from San Francisco. Since their first U.S. Tour this past summer, the group has refined it's energetic and catchy tone... slightly reminiscent of So Cal eighties surf punk.

Let's turn loose upon the world; the passion, the dreams, the ideals... and most importantly let's have some GOD-DAMN FUN!!!

Juanita and the Rabbit is serious about not taking themselves seriously. They're delirious in their goals of rising above the hierarchy. patronizing the patriarchy, laughing at the hegemony, and maybe becoming this century's Partridge family.
