"STYLE GUIDE"

From the beginning of this CD to the end, I was amazed at the effortless vocal range of this artist. Her singing style reminds me of the women singers of the 80's as the remake of "Sunrise" was done to perfection. There is a touch of Rhythm and Blues on this Gospel CD that is sure to capture those who can go back and catch a groove without losing the spiritual focus of the CD. I recommend a listening ear for what is to come from this artist in the near future. - Editor

Juanita,

I just received your CD in the mail and I have to say this was not something I was expecting. Let me tell you that I get promo packages in the mail almost everyday but somehow this one stuck out above several of them in my mind. You voice is extremely soothing and smooth! The cuts I most enjoyed were "His Grace," "Give Us This Day," "This Joy," and my favorite "Sunrise."

Juanita I will definitely add you to the Independent Gospel Artist section of my website. I consider it a priveledge to help showcase such a wonderful talent. What's taken you so long to get this to me??? (smile)

Keep up the great work that you are doing and we'll be in touch!

Peace and God bless

"IN YA EAR! mAGAZINE REVIEWS"

Juanita has a beautiful voice that is effective and will become more effective as she matures in ministry. The album is adequately seasoned and its message is well received; yet it would be great to experience more of Juanita's vocal capabilities. (In Ya Ear's favorite picks): His Grace, What Shall I Do, Jesus Knows Your Heart, Conflict and Give Us This Day - THE EAR PANEL OF FIVE

Bio

Juanita Fletcher, founder of the Juanita Fletcher Vocal Ministries is making her mark on our nation's youth in the same way that her vocals will march their way right into your heart. Juanita is an inspirational singer who is also an inspiration. Through her songwriting and record production, she has combined her traditional gospel roots with the sound of today's influential hip hop culture in order to achieve her ultimate goal - to reach our nation's youth with a positive, informative and mentoring message. From her first single, "This Joy," to the emotion packed "Conflict" and " I Surrender All," Juanita teaches by example that a soul filled with God's goodness can produce far greater change than a heart filled with hate.

Juanita is a native of Chester, Pennsylvania, where she was born, raised and musically cultivated. She sang her first notes in a church ministered by her grandmother, Pastor Melvina White. At the age of ten, Juanita began vocal training with performer Maxine Wilson, and later studying with Rosemary Pyatt and Carolyn Pritchard-Owens. Soon after, she joined the Gospel Music Theater of Chester, founded by Maxine Wilson. In her teenage years, Juanita turned her attention to performing with several different contemporary vocal groups, winning countless awards and competitions.

Juanita now resides in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she seeks continuous spiritual growth in her music ministry. Armed with God's promise, 2002 was a phenomenal year for her and her ministry. Juanita started 2002 by assembling a Women's Conference, the objective of which was to empower and encourage Women in Christ. Her website, located at www.juanitafletcher.com, was launched in February, followed in March by a record release party to celebrate the release of her first CD and music video. By April, thirty-six stores on the East Coast were carrying her CD alone, which precipitated an invitation in May to perform in Las Vegas at the Bobby Jones International Gospel Retreat. Performing in the New Artist Showcase at the event, she delivered what was described by many as a "remarkable performance." Upon her return to Virginia, Juanita performed at the Annual Afram-Fest and appeared on WAVY-10 television's Spread a Little Sunshine.

On October 29, 2002, Juanita's song, "Conflict," received a coveted Top 10 position in the Demo Review Panel & Contest sponsored by the Washington, DC chapter of Grammy.com/The Recording Academy, of which she is an associate member. Panelist/Judges included Melissa Ruggieri, music critic for Richmond Times Dispatch and South Records' Andy Martin. In addition to the Top 10 honor, "Conflict" was the second and only Christian song chosen.

Her success has everything to do with her mission and she makes no bones about where the "road to success" lies ahead of her. "It's not just about getting a record deal, says Juanita. "It's about fulfilling a promise to God. My promise is the vocal ministry that I'm building for the sake of today's kids. I believe that today's youth needs kindness, caring, mentoring and someone who can help them believe in their dreams. With God, all things are possible, and I intend to 'save' our youth, one kid at a time."

As a means to that end, Juanita has ended 2002 by selecting New York based GaideCom, Inc. Strategic Communications as her public relations agency. "My selection of GaideCom had everything to do with shared vision. I needed to work with someone who understands 'where I'm coming from,' 'where I'm going,' and WHY. Susan Gaide is that person," says Juanita.

Simultaneously, she ended 2002 by sponsoring and promoting numerous fundraising events, all for the sole purpose of providing for the needs of disadvantaged youths. 2003 marked a new beginning! On July 18,2003 Juanita signed with road to glory records. Her current cd "Surrender" will be re-released and distributed through Central South Gospel.

Her plans for the future? One of her plans for 2004 include an annual Valentines Day concert. This event will be geared towards young people and will include a headliner and a host of local gospel artist. This event will provide scholarships for youth interested in pursuing a career in music.

One thing you can count on about this rising star is that she is determined not only to light up the sky, but also the whole world around her. You won't have to "look" to see a thing. In fact, CLOSE your eyes. Then, sit back and surrender to the vocal splendor of Juanita Fletcher.
