Bio

JUBILEE are proud of their Seattle roots and how they've been warmly embraced by the music industry in this city. Some of Seattle's best are in their professional Rolodex (the late Tom Pfaeffle of The Tank, Ed Brooks at RFI, fabulous recording engineers at Jupiter, Clatter & Din, Art Institute of Seattle, Fremont Abbey, and others). They've shared the bill with many of Seattle's best up-and-coming: Kris Orlowski, Pickwick, The Globes, Noami Wachira, and even had the honor of Seattle legend Spoonman (made famous by Soundgarden's eponymous song) opening for one of their local shows as his last public performance. Their versatile, danceable sound has gotten them into some unique situations quite uncommon for the typical rock band. They've played private events for former governor Chris Gregoire and in-home garden parties for several notable Seattle restaurateurs and hoteliers. Repeat performances at The Triple Door main stage and in the Musicquarium got them a drink named in their honor on the cocktails menu. Because of their unusual status as a non-profit organization and their reputation for kicking human trafficking squarely in the ass, they've been invited to participate in events on university campuses and at social justice conferences up and down the West Coast, in Hawaii, and across the country.

JUBILEE is the only nonprofit rock band in the country.  As official partners of International Justice Mission they have fought slavery for 10 years, all the while establishing the driving, melodic sound they've become known for among their fans across the country. 100% of CD and merchandise sales goes to bring music and art therapy to survivors of sex trafficking and bonded labor.

In their own words: Do What You Love to Undo What You Hate. This motto (and mission) has inspired all ages at all manner of events in Seattle and around the country. JUBILEEs performances not only entertain, they inspire. They are a living, breathing, rocking example of doing what you love (and doing it well) to undo what you hate.
