LITTLE BIRD

Written By: JUDE VADALA

Little Bird
Little bird on my window sill
Don’t fly away to that distant hill
My shoes are worn and I got no place to go
Please stay with me and I’ll tell my tale of woe

Little bird in my apple tree
We’ll fly together you and me
But I got no coat to keep out the morning chill
My pockets are empty but your song will surely fill

Sing a little song when my story’s done
Lift my troubles up to the morning sun

Little bird in the morning dew
Won’t you stay awhile
Won’t you sit so still while I’m telling you
About every single mile that I’ve come
That I’ve come
Won’t you sit while I tell about every mile I’ve come

If a little bird comes to visit you
Won’t you stay awhile
Won’t you sit so still while she’s telling you
About every single mile that’s she’s come
That she’s come
Won’t you sit while she tells about every mile she’s come

ANNA

Written By: JUDE VADALA

Anna
Anna if I could,
I would fly to the east I would
I would sit with you so you could tell me
Anna if I could.

You could tell me about the thunder in the street
How you’re scared when you go to sleep
How your family is broken and your sons have run away
To the land of the proud and free

And sometimes they call from far far away
And they ask you if you’re doing ok
And you try to be brave and you cry on the phone
It’s been years since you’ve seen their face

Anna if I could I would give you the key I would
To free you from your prisonland
Anna if I could

And in your dreams you are all together
Like it used to be before the war
And in your dreams your children are all home
And you’re not afraid anymore

Anna if I could I would cast a spell and make it good
I would open up the borders so your babies could come home
Anna if I could

CROSS OVER MY MIND

Written By: JUDE VADALA

Cross Over My Mind
And as I think back I will try to remember all those times
We laughed and you drove crazy over the limit
I guess that’s why I stayed so long
I love the way you twist a song
And I will let these thoughts cross over

Cross over my mind

With good intention I will try to know the good in goodbye
And I will picture love between us
And when the sunshine goes away I will beg it more to stay
And shine some light that will cross over

Cross over my mind

And we hoped and we gave
And we tried to ride the wave
Down on our knees and we prayed

So carry all that you have gained
Let go and never be the same
Remember when the ride was sweeter
The dust inside a picture frame
Put it away and this is strange
And I will let these thoughts cross over

Cross over my mind

MOLLY

Written By: JUDE VADALA

Molly
Molly had a dolly sweet as rain
She came in on the angel train
Molly held that dolly oh so tight
She said I’ll name you mine just for tonight.

Molly looked into that dolly’s soul
She said you can’t stay here you gotta go
I’m no good for you the way I am
They’ll look after you the best they can

Carry her on golden wings
Keep her safe in all she does
Carry her on golden wings
Keep her safe, keep her safe

Molly thinks about her dolly every day
She sees her in every face
Today she’s two, today she’s grown
Dolly forgive me to every bone

Carry her on golden wings,
Keep her safe in all she does
Carry her on golden wings
Keep her safe, keep her safe

Molly had a dolly sweet as rain
She came in on the angel train
Molly held that dolly oh so tight
She said I’ll name you mine just for tonight
